  • Explain the theories used to develop the Faithful Families program.
Working with Faith Communities

 

Participants will:

  • Explore best practices and strategies for reaching out to and effectively partnering with communities of faith.
Curriculum Overview

 

Participants will:

  • Understand the Faithful Families curriculum, including instructional tools and materials.
  • View a curriculum demonstration by a seasoned trainer and facilitator, including tips on effective food demonstration
Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) Supports Participants will:

  • Understand the importance of PSE changes to the Faithful Families Program.
  • Explore PSE changes that can be implemented in communities of faith.
Evaluation

 

Participants will:

  • Understand and brainstorm practical ways to implement the Faithful Families evaluation tools.
Faithful Families Portal Overview

 

Participants will :

  • Discover how they can use the Faithful Families Portal to manage and track Faithful Families programming.
  • Decide whether they wish to use the FREE portal resources and, if yes, work with the Faithful Families team to create their own portal space.
Action Planning and Feedback

 

Participants will:

  • Develop an action plan to implement Faithful Families in their setting, using a discussion guide developed by the Faithful Families team.
  • Develop an action plan to create a training for Faithful Families in their community (if needed).
Success Stories and Lessons Learned

 

Participants will:

  • Understand challenges and barriers to partnering with communities of faith.
  • Explore resources and success stories to overcome challenges and barriers.
