Dr. Annie Hardison-Moody is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences at NC State University, where she directs Faithful Families Thriving Communities. Along with Sarah Bowen and Sinikka Elliott, she served as co-PI for Voices into Action: The Families, Food, and Health Project, a USDA-funded study of the family food environment. Along with Voices into Action Project Director, Sarah Bowen, her work with these programs was recognized by an invitation to the Obama White House, for a Let’s Move meeting of faith-based and neighborhood partners. She also served as co-PI, with Lindsey Haynes-Maslow, for Health Matters, a two-year community-based health promotion grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Hardison-Moody is also author of When Religion Matters: Practicing Healing in the Aftermath of the Liberian Civil War (Wipf & Stock, 2016) and co-editor of Parenting as Spiritual Practice and Source for Theology: Mothering Matters (Palgrave). She loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband Will and two girls, Sophie and Lilly.

Kim Eshleman is the Faith Community Liaison for Steps to Health (NCSU's SNAP-Ed program)/Faithful Families Thriving Communities. In her role at NC State, she has had the opportunity to work on several different research and community outreach projects related to food, nutrition, and health, and she has a deep interest and passion for work that will help to build and support healthy and thriving families and communities. She is currently obtaining her MS in Youth, Family, and Community Sciences at NC State University. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Johnathan and three children, Aidan, Sumner and Ethan. Family life keeps her busy, but she is an avid reader and loves cooking and gathering around a shared table with family and friends as often as possible.
